For businesses around the globe, sustainability has quickly become top of mind. According to a recent IDC report commissioned by Dell, 79% of surveyed IT decision makers around the world say sustainability factors heavily into their IT purchasing decisions.
Sustainability initiatives offer a number of benefits including cost reduction and employee recruitment. But it starts with taking an approach geared around protecting our climate and environment through measures such as carbon footprint reduction.
When it comes to turning sustainability goals into reality, PC purchasing plays a key role for many organizations. IT pros are not only tasked with sourcing technology that meets their own organization’s sustainability criteria, but they’re also responsible for evaluating the vendors they work with to ensure their entire supply chain is aligned.
